Choctaw County Lake and Tombigbee National Forest
Course is a very scenic crushed gravel loop around the lake for most of the first
three miles. It will then detour onto the Headwater and Chata trail in the forest for the next couple of miles. These
trails contain several short but steep hills, and a handful of small creek hops. The last mile is a welcome flattening out
of the terrain, leading you to a strong finish back near the start line. For details of the additional trail added for
the half-marathon course, read on past the map on this page.
